Prediction for CME (2025-12-30T07:23:00-CME-001)CME Observed Time: 2025-12-30T07:23ZDONKI Link: https://kauai.ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov/DONKI/view/CME/43658/-1 CME Note: [PRELIMINARY] The arrival of this CME was not detected at L1. Faint CME seen to the NE in all three coronagraphs (SOHO LASCO C2/C3, STEREO A COR2 and GOES CCOR-1), with the faint front quickly becoming fuzzy/partially dissipating. The CME is somewhat overlapping with the more southern CME: 2025-12-30T07:00Z. A possible source is a narrow prominence/ejecta rotating northwardly seen starting at 2025-12-30T06:49Z in GOES SUVI 304 (and SDO AIA 304) on/behind the E limb (lat -15), however the fit between coronagraphs shows a much lower longitude, indicating AR 14324 (N25W33) as a possible source. There is a C3.5-class flare in this Active Region at the time. CME was not detected at Earth. Observed Geomagnetic Storm Parameters due to CME: ---- Predicted Arrival Time: 2026-01-01T23:00Z Predicted geomagnetic storm max Kp range due to CME: 2.0 - 4.0 Prediction Method: Median of all Methods Prediction Method Note: This is the auto generated median of all submitted predictions for this CME.Lead Time: 51.20 hour(s) Difference: ----- Prediction submitted by Auto Generated (CCMC) on 2025-12-30T19:48Z |
